Having been abused for as long as she can remember, Skylar, a young American, decides to call on her Canadian cousin Kev to help her rebuild her life following a family tragedy. But the latter, gravitating in a world of drugs and illicit fighting, hides several secrets that will complicate Skylar's plan. She is forced to participate in fights to support her cousin's way of life. Kev ask Chuck, a former fighter, for help to teach Skylar the basics of combat, but the two develop a romance that will leave Kev raging. Can Chuck help Skylar build a new life? How far will Kev go to come between the two? Will Skylar be able to fight her demons?
